13. A record shall be kept of each sampling, permitting each lot to be identified unambiguously and the sampling officer shall record the variety, grower, production method, date, place of sampling, food business operator responsible for consignment, and any other relevant information likely to be of assistance to the analyst.
14. Beneficiaries who notify the competent national authorities at any time of incorrect aid applications should not be the subject of reductions or exclusions, irrespective of the reason for the incorrectness, provided the beneficiary grower concerned has not been informed of the competent authority's intention to carry out an on-the-spot check and provided the authority has not already informed the beneficiary of any irregularity in the application.
