  12. WHEREAS, by letter of 10 January 2008 and in accordance with Article 12 of Council Directive 91/67/EEC, Norway applied for approval of its national control and eradication programme for Bacterial Kidney Disease with the goal of achieving free status for the disease,
  13. are not intended for destruction or slaughter for the eradication of the following diseases: ISA; VHS; IHN; EHN; spring viraemia of carp (SVC); Infectious pancreatic necrosis (IPN); Bacterial kidney disease (BKD, Renibacterium salmoninarum); Furunculosis (Aeromonas salmonicida); Enteric redmouth disease (ERM, Yersinia ruckeri); Gyrodactylus salaris; or due to diseases caused by any other pathogen,

Commission Decision 2004/453/EC of 29 April 2004 implementing Council Directive 91/67/EEC as regards measures against certain diseases in aquaculture animals [2] approves the disease-free status of certain Member States or parts thereof as regards spring viraemia of carp (SVC), bacterial kidney disease (BKD), infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPN) and infection with Gyrodactylus salaris (GS) (approved disease-free areas), and control or eradication programmes of certain Member States (approved control or eradication programmes) as regards SVC, BKD and IPN.
