After the 14th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention, the following species have been added to Appendix III to the Convention: Bulnesia sarmientoi (with annotation) at the request of Argentina, Cervus elephus barbarus and Gazella dorcas at the request of Algeria and Dalbergia species and Cedrela odorata (with annotations) at the request of Guatemala.
7. The list may include several types of device for each operation. Each type must be duly identified (component, type-approval mark, name of manufacturer, etc.), in addition the list may include in respect of each function the additional annotation ‘or equivalent devices’;
8. Upon receiving the relevant communication, that authority shall inform thereof the other Parties to the Agreement applying this Regulation, by means of a copy of the approval form bearing at the end, in large letters, the signed and dated annotation: ‘PRODUCTION DISCONTINUED’.
9. If the holder of the approval completely ceases production of the engine approved in accordance with this Regulation, he shall so inform the authority which granted the approval. Upon receiving the relevant communication, that authority shall inform thereof the other Parties to the Agreement applying this Regulation, by means of a copy of the approval form bearing at the end, in large letters, the signed and dated annotation ‘PRODUCTION DISCONTINUED’.
10. If the holder of the approval completely ceases to manufacture a type of replacement silencing system or components of the said system in accordance with this Regulation, he shall so inform the authority which granted the approval. Upon receiving the relevant communication, that authority shall inform thereof the other Parties to the Agreement applying this Regulation, by means of a copy of the approval form bearing at the end, in large letters, the signed and dated annotation: ‘PRODUCTION DISCONTINUED’.
